Coming in at number five, it's Manchester known for regularly hosting an incredible display at Christmas time.

You can't go wrong with a visit to this beautiful city. We named Manchester as our best place to visit for the Christmas season in the UK and will link that on-screen now, the whole city center comes alive. Live. When the markets are open, you can expect Christmas decorations live, music festive drinks, and beautiful street food from around the world. Up next, it's the stunning German city of Cologne. 

The markets here are set against the jaw-dropping cathedral and the streets are full of festive magic.
